Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was on the verge of joining Paris-Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019, with a reported £429,000-a-week deal in place.

However, the transfer collapsed due to PSG's inability to sell Brazilian star Neymar to Barcelona, which blocked Pogba's move to the French club.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Manchester United had agreed to sell Pogba to PSG, but the deal fell through when Barcelona's move for Neymar failed to materialize.

As a result, Pogba missed out on a £22 million-a-year deal with PSG, which could still be revived in the January transfer window if the clubs involved can agree on good terms.

It's worth noting that Pogba was also linked with a move to Real Madrid and his former club Juventus during the summer transfer window.
