On September 12, 2019, the management of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital found itself in the spotlight once again over claims of massive corruption in tender procurement.

At the center of the allegations is Olivia Adhiambo, a perceived powerful accountant, who is accused of operating dubious companies that hijack lucrative tenders at the institution.

According to sources, Adhiambo operates a host of companies through proxies, including friends and relatives, to loot millions of shillings from the hospital through skewed tender procurement.

Some of the companies in question include Netconsoles, which has been contracted to do cabro pavement at the facility, and Akidos Venture, Moobrow, Jakahongo, Erastado, and Marcdanation Ventures, which are involved in various projects at the hospital.

It has been established that the CEO and the administration are under pressure but cannot act against Adhiambo, who is boasting to be a powerful individual at the hospital, given her rumored love affairs with Olang Onudi, who makes her feel protected.

Properties, including apartments, said to be owned by Adhiambo are registered under Glidam Holding and Tovic Limited.

When reached for comment, Adhiambo dismissed the allegations as social media rumors, while the CEO, Peter Okoth, noted that some people were trying to spoil the accountant's name, adding that they did not have any evidence to associate her with the said companies.
