Tanzania Mourns Death of Renowned Comedian Boss Martha ¶

However, the Tanzanian comedy scene is in mourning following the sudden death of renowned comedian Boss Martha.
According to Millard Ayo, who broke the news, Martha died on September 11, 2019, after being hospitalized for malaria.
Before her death, Martha was a popular comedian in Tanzania, known for her work on the popular show 'Cheka Tu'. She was also a talented actress, appearing in several videos, including one with musician Whozu.
Her Instagram page revealed that she had predicted her own death just weeks before her passing.
Martha's death has sent shockwaves through the Tanzanian comedy community, with many of her colleagues and fans taking to social media to pay their respects.
One of her colleagues, comedian Nasra, paid tribute to Martha, saying: 'Rest in peace Martha. I'm so saddened. She was one of the best comedians from Tanzania.❤'
