Manchester United has welcomed back one of its most decorated players, Patrice Evra, as he embarks on a new chapter in his football career. The Frenchman, who announced his retirement in July, is currently at the club to work towards obtaining his coaching badges.

Evra, a five-time Premier League champion, spent eight years at Old Trafford, winning numerous honours, including the Champions League and FA Cup trophies. He has now set his sights on a career in football management, with the aim of becoming a manager within two years.

"My playing career is officially over. I started training for the UEFA B Coaching License in 2013, now I want to finish it and then go on to get the UEFA A license," Evra told Gazzetta dello Sport in a statement.

Exactly a month after announcing his retirement, Evra was spotted arriving at United's Carrington training ground, where he is continuing to work on his coaching badges. The 38-year-old has also taken to his Instagram to share his excitement about the new chapter in his career, posing in Manchester United coaching apparel and expressing his gratitude to the club for helping him complete his coach badges.

Evra's last stint in professional football was with West Ham, where he played his last match during the 2017/18 campaign. With his coaching badges in sight, the former Juve star is one step closer to realizing his dream of becoming a football manager.
