Published on September 11, 2019, Wiper Party has denied reports that it nominated singer Jackson Ngechu Makini, alias CMB Prezzo, as its candidate in the November 7th Kibra by-election.

The party claims its Twitter account was hacked, leading to the announcement of Prezzo as its candidate.

Wiper Party Leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka received Prezzo as the newest member of the party, but clarified that Prezzo has no intention of vying for the seat at this time.

Instead, Prezzo is being considered as a potential candidate for the 2022 general election.

The party urged Kenyans to ignore any contradictory information concerning the party's position on the Kibra Constituency by-election.
