Kenyan music heavyweights Nameless, Mejja, Breeder LW, and Ssaru will anchor the 2026 Safari Sevens entertainment program, which runs alongside the rugby tournament from October 9 to 11 at Nyayo National Stadium. The event, now in its 28th edition, features teams from Kenya and international participants, with the entertainment lineup designed to amplify fan engagement. The schedule includes DJ Confy and DJ Grill on Friday, Mejja and Breeder LW on Saturday, and Nameless and Ssaru on Sunday, alongside supporting DJs and MCs such as Claudia Naisabwa and BM Shaxxy.

Tusker’s Ksh.14 million sponsorship of the entertainment segment aims to elevate the fan experience while supporting rugby and entertainment delivery, according to Keza Mpyisi, Tusker Sports Brand Manager. Mpyisi emphasized the partnership’s goal of combining “top rugby action and a strong entertainment line-up” through the Tusker Na Rugby platform. This aligns with Tusker’s broader rugby investments, including support for the National Sevens Circuit and the HSBC SVNS 2 event in Nairobi, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the sport across multiple platforms.

The entertainment lineup spans three days, with Saturday’s program featuring DJ Most Wanted, DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Incredible, and DJ Protégé alongside Mejja and Breeder LW. Sunday’s festivities will include DJ Tophaz, Kriss Darlin, and DJ Deweez, with Shema, Hype Ballo, and MC BV Accurate managing the event’s flow. The tournament’s organizers highlighted the synergy between rugby and music, positioning the Safari Sevens as a cultural and sporting landmark.

Public interest in the event is heightened by its dual focus on competitive rugby and high-profile entertainment, drawing fans seeking both athletic spectacle and musical performance. The collaboration between sports organizers and sponsors like Tusker underscores a growing trend of integrating commercial partnerships with community-driven events. With the 2026 edition poised to attract a wide audience, the Safari Sevens continues to solidify its role as a premier Kenyan sports and entertainment destination.
