Chelsea Faces Injury Crisis Ahead of Wolves Match

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is set to lose the services of eight key players when his team returns home on September 14, ahead of their match against Wolves.

Published on September 10, 2019, at 4:04 PM.

Chelsea's injury crisis deepens as key players continue to pick up injuries, leaving Lampard with a depleted squad for the upcoming match against Wolves.

Among the injured players are Emerson Palmieri, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, N'Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic, who are all expected to miss the match.

Only Antonio Rudiger and Pedro have been confirmed to return to training, but it remains to be seen if they will be fit enough to feature in the match.

The injury crisis has left Chelsea in 11th place in the Premier League table, seven points behind Liverpool.

Despite the challenges, Lampard remains optimistic that his team can turn things around and make a push for the top of the table.
