On September 10, 2019, Inooro TV reporter Victor Kinuthia faced intense online backlash for his live TV reporting, but he has since revealed the emotional turmoil he went through during the ordeal.
Kinuthia, a seasoned vernacular reporter, was tasked with covering the dramatic arrest of Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro for Citizen TV. He has now spoken out about the challenges he faced, crediting his bosses at Royal Media Services for their support.
"I almost gave up when I found myself trending all over after yesterday's 9 pm news. But after receiving calls and texts from my bosses, colleagues, friends and fans I must say am encouraged," Kinuthia wrote on Facebook.
Despite the initial backlash, Kinuthia received an outpouring of support from his colleagues and fans, which helped him to cope with the situation.
