Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri is a leading candidate to take over as Guinea national football team head coach, following the departure of Paul Put in June 2019.
Put was fired by the Guinea Football Association after the team's disappointing performance at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, where they were eliminated in the round of 16 by eventual tournament winners Algeria.
Ranieri, who last managed AS Roma in the 2019-2020 season, has a reputation for turning around struggling teams, and his appointment could be a boost for Guinea's chances of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
During his time at AS Roma, Ranieri managed the team to a 12-game stint, but ultimately failed to secure a Champions League spot for the Serie A giants.
Guinea's FA has drawn up a list of potential candidates to replace Put, and Ranieri's name is at the top of the list, alongside other high-profile managers.
