On a morning talk show on NTV, Kandara MP Alice Wahome revealed her fears for her life, alleging a plot to eliminate her and Mt Kenya politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto.
According to Wahome, a meeting was held at a prominent businessman's home in Murang'a last week, where Interior Ministry PS Karanja Kibicho was present. The discussions centered around how to 'finish' her and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.
Wahome claimed that she and Nyoro have been identified as the source of DP Ruto's growing support in the Mt Kenya region ahead of his 2022 presidential bid. The legislator alleged that the meeting attendees were concerned about their influence and wanted to 'cut them to size'.
Wahome also stated that Nyoro's close links to Ruto are the cause of his problems with the State. She claimed that the meeting attendees referred to Nyoro as a 'small person' who could be easily removed without significant consequences.
Notably, Wahome revealed that Interior Ministry PS Karanja Kibicho had warned her via text on Sunday against talking about him in public.
