On September 9, 2019, a partnership between UAP Old Mutual and Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital signed a ticketing system deal to tackle the long queues that have plagued the hospital.

The Sh5 million project aims to introduce a queue management system that will ensure efficiency and reduce patients' waiting time.

UAP Foundation Chairman Peter Muthoka and Hospital Chairman Joe Aketch witnessed the deal signing, which is expected to start working in a month's time.

The system will record real-time data on services, waiting time, and customers served on a particular day, helping the hospital management to control service levels and generate performance statistics.

Patients will pick their ticket numbers at a vending machine, which will be announced at various clinics before they enter the doctors' office.

By introducing this system, the hospital aims to organize lines and ensure the first-in-first-served criteria is used.
