On September 9, 2019, a devastating road accident occurred along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway, claiming the lives of three people and leaving more than 10 others injured.
The accident involved a matatu heading from Nakuru to Naivasha, which was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided head-on with a private mini bus near Delamere farm.
Two passengers and the matatu driver died instantly in the accident, which occurred on a Monday afternoon.
