Published on September 9, 2019, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has publicly revealed DP William Ruto's attempts to have him join his camp.

While speaking in Kibra, Mudavadi stated that he rejected Ruto's overtures because the DP was part of the major problems Kenyans are facing today.

“He has been at the forefront in the country’s borrowing spree that has put Kenya in big debt. That means more taxation. Then he is saying I join him. Eish! Eish!” Musalia said in Kibra yesterday.

Mudavadi further emphasized that Ruto and Jubilee are the problem, and that ANC is going to find the solution.

The ANC was in Kibra just a day after ODM picked Ben Okoth as its flag bearer on Saturday.

ODM has warned Ruto of a bruising battle in the November 7 by-election, buoyed by historic peaceful nominations.

Okoth is the brother of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth, who died last month.

The ruling party has been putting on a brave face amid simmering tensions within its ranks.

Ruto has pledged to camp in Kibra in the coming days to drum up support for his candidate, raising the stakes in the race.
