On September 9, 2019, Equity Bank Hawks secured a 70-63 victory over USIU-A Flames in the Kenya Basketball Federation women's Premier League.
The win saw the Hawks maintain their top spot on the league log.
Star player Annerose Mandela led the charge with 19 points, while Betty Kananu and captain Esther Butali contributed 13 and 12 points respectively.
For the Flames, Shalet Bweche scored 18 points, with Jemimmah Night and Fridah Yagoma adding 16 and 13 points respectively.
Equity Bank coach David Maina praised his team's offense, saying, "Compared to last week we were not at our best even though our execution was brilliant offensively. We will have to work on our defensive play because we allowed our opponents to score."
