Former K24 TV presenter Serah Teshna Ndanu has shared insights into the challenges that prompted her exit from the network in 2000, where she hosted the program Alfajiri.
Ndanu described the television industry as physically and mentally taxing, citing early morning schedules that required her to be awake by 3am and in the studio by 4am. "The truth is that TV can be so exhausting both physically and mentally. You can get so occupied with the job that you have no time to catch up with friends or even family," she stated to Standard.
While Ndanu left K24 mid-2019, she initially refrained from disclosing specific reasons. In a farewell message to fans, she acknowledged the network's role in her professional development, noting she transitioned from a novice presenter to a seasoned media professional. "I was moving to greener pastures," she said, without elaborating on the exact circumstances of her departure.
