ODM Party Asks Aspirants Unhappy with Kibra Nomination Results to File Appeals ¶

ODM party has asked aspirants who are unhappy with the nomination results of the Kibra by-election to file appeals. The party has set up a committee to receive complaints and aspirants are encouraged to present their cases at the ODM headquarters.
According to ODM, the committee is composed of Jane Matoke (Chief Justice's lawyer), Opondo Katieno (Chief Justice's lawyer), and Jotham Nyukuri. The party's communications director, Philip Etale, announced the formation of the committee on September 9, 2019.
The Kibra by-election was held on September 7, 2019, and Bernard Okoth was elected as the ODM candidate. However, the election was marred by several challenges, including missing names on the IEBC list.
Okoth is accused of colluding with Jubilee Party's McDonald Mariga and ANC's Eliud Owalo in the Kibra by-election.
Other aspirants who participated in the Kibra by-election include OKello Stephen Oguwa, Odhiambo Christone Owino, Ochieng Peter Orero, Ogola Tony Sira Sine, Ojijo Reuben William Ayako, Obaricks Eric Ochieng, Owino Brian Shem, Otieno Benson Musungu, and Otieno John Milla.
