Published on September 8, 2019, a Nairobi woman has accused former digital director Dennis Itumbi of child neglect, claiming he tried to convince her to abort their child.

The woman, through her lawyer Enricah Dulo, alleges that Itumbi served her a drink during a meeting on October 26, 2018, which caused her to start bleeding.

She was rushed to Jacaranda maternity hospital, where a medical doctor suspected she was trying to abort the foetus, leading her to suspect the drink Itumbi had served her.

The woman claims Itumbi has been cruel to her and their alleged child, refusing to provide any form of maintenance and blocking her from engaging with him on the child's welfare.

She is seeking court orders to compel Itumbi to provide interim monthly maintenance of Sh50,000 for the minor, cater for food, clothing, medicine, and house help salary.

The case will be heard on September 26, and if Itumbi fails to attend, the court will proceed to issue the orders in his absence.
