On September 7, 2019, the ODM party primaries for the Kibra constituency by-election came to an end, marking the conclusion of a short but intense campaign period.
Benson Musungu, ODM Director of Youth Affairs, was one of the nine candidates vying for the ODM ticket in the hotly contested election.
Speaking after the primaries, Musungu congratulated Bernard Okoth on his victory, expressing his belief that Okoth will continue the good work started by the late Hon. Ken Okoth, who passed away due to cancer.
"Boresha Kazi Njema" was the campaign message that Musungu stood by, and he is confident that Okoth will carry on this vision.
Musungu extended his gratitude to his family, secretariat, loyal supporters, and fellow Kibrans who supported him throughout the campaign.
He praised the ODM party for conducting a peaceful primary, proving the naysayers wrong and demonstrating the party's commitment to change.
Musungu remains loyal to the ODM party and has pledged to support Bernard Okoth in ensuring that the party retains the seat.
He concluded by expressing his blessings for the people of Kibra constituency, Kenya, and the ODM party.
