On Saturday night, Akothee received a payment of Ksh 1.8m, just a few days after performing at the Luo Festival.
The payment was a result of her exclusive performance at a private beach party in Malindi, where she entertained top Italian tycoon Bruno Massimo and his friends on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
The party, held at Kilili Baharini resort, was an all-white affair, with Akothee billed as the guest performer. She delivered a two-hour electrifying performance, leaving the revellers yearning for more.
Guests danced and sang along to her sweet music, with 'Sweet Love' and 'Djele Djele' topping the list. The entrance fee for the event was Ksh 20,000, and it was attended by Italian tycoons and other wealthy Kenyans.
Also performing at the event was Tony Nyadundo, who performed some of his finest Ohangla songs before paving the way for the birthday boy, Bruno Massimo, who cut the cake and fed his friends.
The event was a rich people's affair, with 7 Italian tycoons and 3 top hotel owners from Malindi in attendance.
