Cristiano Ronaldo's Speedy Performance in Serie A ¶
Italian football fans have been left in awe of Cristiano Ronaldo's lightning-fast pace on the field, with the Juventus star ranked as the second fastest player in the Italian Serie A behind Napoli defender Kostas Manolas.
According to Italian news media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, quoting Football Italia, Ronaldo's speed was set at 34.62km/h while Manolas slightly beats him with a pace of 35.41km/h.
Simone Zaza of Torino came third recording a top speed of 34.56km/h and Roma's Gianluca Mancini was ranked fourth with 34.46km/h time.
Atalanta's Berat Djimsiti is fifth with 34.26km/h, while Fiorentina's right-back Pol Lirola, who covers a speed of 34.13km/h is in sixth.
Ronaldo showed his lightning quick pace from one 18-yard box to another during Juventus' 4-3 win over Napoli at the Allianz Stadium.
As reported by The Mirror, Ronaldo was at the middle of a storm over sponsorship between sports kits giants Nike and rivals Adidas, but opted to pen a 10-year extension with the former in 2016.
