Former Harambee Stars captain Denis Oliech is suing Gor Mahia FC for Ksh6.2 million, claiming the club terminated his contract prematurely.

According to a letter written by Oliech's lawyer, Elvis Majani, the contract was terminated with 'advance malicious reasons' supporting the dismissal of Oliech.

As a result, Oliech is demanding Ksh1.4 million in signing dues, Ksh2.2 million for lost income, and Ksh2.6 million for the unlawful termination of his contract.

Oliech was signed by Gor Mahia FC on January 2, 2019, on a fee of Ksh2.8 million with an 18-month contract.

However, the club allegedly breached the contract and unilaterally decided to terminate Oliech's employment, citing serious and persistent misconduct, poor performance, and absenteeism from training.

But Oliech's lawyer argues that the club failed to pay him his signing fees in full, despite constant verbal and written demands.

Gor Mahia FC has been given a seven-day ultimatum to pay Oliech the demanded amount.
