On August 31, 2019, Sophia Njenga, a Kenyan mother, underwent a 10-hour open heart surgery at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tragically, she passed away a few hours after the procedure.
According to her family, Sophia had been in the ICU for three weeks prior to the surgery, seeking medical treatment. Her family is now in need of financial support to fly her body back home for burial and cover expenses.
