On September 7, 2019, Dr. Pimple Popper, a dermatologist and YouTube personality, released a new video showcasing her skills in removing a large sebaceous cyst from a patient's back.

According to the video, the patient had been dealing with the cyst for two and a half years before seeking Dr. Pimple Popper's help. The cyst, which resembled a sebaceous one, had grown deep and wide over time.

Dr. Pimple Popper made an incision into the cyst and squeezed out a gush of frosting-like white keratin, which came up 'pretty superficial.' However, some fibrous tissue remained, requiring her to use her curette and tweezers to remove the stubborn mass.

Sebaceous cysts result from the blockage of the sebaceous gland and can grow deep and wide over months or years. Dr. Pimple Popper has previously battled similar cysts on other patients, including one on a man's chin.

The patient credited her sister with introducing her to Dr. Pimple Popper's work, which led her to make an appointment and get the cyst removed.
