January 4, 2018, was a day that will be remembered by a family of three who were on a Qatar Airways flight headed to Bali, Indonesia. The couple, who were accompanied by their child, were looking forward to a relaxing vacation, but little did they know that their trip would take an unexpected turn.

According to reports, the woman, an Iranian national, had used her sleeping husband's thumb to access his phone and discovered his infidelity. The news was too much for her to handle, and she began to cause a commotion on the flight.

The flight attendants were unable to restore order, and the flight captain was left with no choice but to make an unscheduled landing in Chennai, India. The family was taken into detention as they did not have an Indian visa.

They were later put on a flight to Kuala Lumpur. The incident was reported by The Times of India, which stated that the Iranian woman's commotion was so intense that the plane had to make an abrupt landing in India.

Qatar Airways declined to comment on the incident, citing the need to protect the passengers' privacy. The family eventually left for Malaysia on a Batik Air flight.
