Published on September 7, 2019, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba has denied rumors of a breakup with his Kenyan wife, Amina Khalef.
According to reports from Tanzania, Kiba had divorced his Kenyan wife, but he has since confirmed that their marriage is fine.
Speaking in an interview with Cloud Fm's show on September 5, Kiba said, "Niko na family kama kawaida, na mtoto anaendelea vizuri namshukuru mungu (I got a family, it is normal and our son is doing fine and I thank God).">
He added, "The people spreading such rumors should focus on minding their own business," in a clear dismissal of the breakup claims.
Amina Khalef, Kiba's wife, had previously refuted the breakup claims on social media, saying their union was fine and their love had never withered.
"Face and his blessings, blessed marriage and Allah is the witness. We love each other and we are raising our kid. Their words have failed, we will love each other forever, our love is still a lively baby," Amina said.
The couple married in April 2018 in two lavish ceremonies in Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the wedding reportedly costing KSh 50 million.
