Meru Woman Representative Kawira Mwangaza has stolen the hearts of many with her love story, which began with a generous gift to her husband, Murega Baichu.
Back in December 2017, Mwangaza surprised her then-fiancé with a Range Rover worth KSh 15 million as a Christmas gift, sparking social media frenzy.
Fast forward to May 2018, the couple tied the knot in a private wedding, leaving many of their fans surprised and delighted.
On her first day in parliament, Mwangaza made headlines again by bringing her husband along, wearing matching purple colours and looking elegant.
When asked about flaunting her husband, Mwangaza gave a heartwarming response, saying, "I don’t want to behave like some of the women we know who are married but when they come to parliament, they are single. I have come with my husband as a testimony to the world that I’m married and as I embark on my legislative duties, my husband will be playing a key role just like he has done during the campaigns," she said.
