Published on September 7, 2019, a woman has taken former State House Director of Digital and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi to court over child maintenance.
According to court documents, the woman claims she was in a love affair with Itumbi between January and August 2018, resulting in her pregnancy.
She alleges that Itumbi ended the relationship in August 2018 when she informed him of her pregnancy and has since blocked her, making it difficult for her to communicate with him regarding their child's welfare.
The woman is demanding Sh50,000 monthly subsistence allowance to cater for their child's food, clothing, medicine, and house help salary.
She also wants Itumbi to provide a copy of his national identity card so that his name can be included in their child's birth certificate.
The matter will be heard on September 26, 2019.
