On September 6, 2019, the High Court in Milimani reviewed an order detaining Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, the wife of missing Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen, for 12 days. The court reduced the period to 10 days, ruling that her detention was unlawful.

Justice Daniel Ogembo stated that the lower court failed to consider that Sarah Wairimu had already spent four days in custody. The judge maintained that other orders issued by the lower court would remain in force.

Prosecutors DPP Noordin Haji and DCI George Kinoti had opposed Wairimu's application for reduced detention.
