Published on September 6, 2019, Kenyan boxer Victor Wesonga is preparing for a thrilling East and Central Africa showdown against Tanzania's highly rated Lammeck Ngakau.

Wesonga, a 25-year-old featherweight boxer, has been training intensively ahead of the bout, which is set to take place next month. The venue is yet to be decided, with Ngakau requesting a neutral ground.

With a record of seven unbeaten fights, including six Technical Knockouts (TKOs) and one draw, Wesonga is confident in his abilities. He has been training with veteran coach Julius Odhiambo and has received support from his employer, the National Police's Rapid Deployment Unit, as well as his commandant James Akuro and sports officer Peter Kaula.

Wesonga's previous fights have seen him emerge victorious, including a TKO win against Abdul Noor in 2017 and a TKO win against Joshua Omukulo last year. The fight against Ngakau is set to take place on October 5, 2019.
