Published on September 6, 2019, Atere Oluwatosin, Jiji Offline Sales Manager, sat down with us to discuss his role and what drives him.

When asked if he was happy with what he was doing, Atere's response was more than just a simple 'yes' or 'no'. He shared a personal anecdote about the joy of receiving a credit alert, saying, 'Nothing beats waking up from an evening nap out of the sound of a credit alert.'

For Atere, the sound of a credit alert is a reminder of the rewards of his hard work. He looks forward to the monthly bank alert from work, which he sees as a symbol of his efforts paying off.

Unlike some people who prefer the structure of office work, Atere thrives in the fast-paced environment of fieldwork. He enjoys meeting new people and convincing them to try Jiji's services, which he finds rewarding.

As a Field Sales Agent, Atere's days are never the same. He appreciates the variety and flexibility that comes with his role, saying, 'I am being paid to be a social butterfly as opposed to office monkeys.'

When asked what initially drew him to Jiji, Atere mentioned the opportunity to work outdoors. He recalls his interview with Jiji and the positive impression he got from the company's culture and team.

One year after joining Jiji, Atere has grown to become a Team Lead, and his enthusiasm for the role has not waned. He credits the company's supportive environment and the opportunity to work with a talented team for his success.

As a Sales Agent, Atere's primary goal is to sell premium subscription services to sellers and ensure they get the most out of their investment. He balances the need to acquire new clients with the responsibility of satisfying existing ones.

When asked to reflect on his job, Atere simply stated, 'Some jobs are just easier than others.'
