Wafula Buke, a former Director of Political Affairs in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), has made explosive allegations of corruption within the party. In a Facebook post, Buke claimed that he was sacked from his position due to his refusal to engage in corrupt activities.

According to Buke, he encountered numerous instances of corruption within the party, including attempts to bribe him and offers of corrupt deals. He stated that he directly reported these incidents to the party's relevant organs, including ODM leader Raila Odinga.

One notable instance cited by Buke was when a top ODM Nairobi County official offered him Ksh 20,000 to abandon a petition he had filed to Parliament seeking the disbandment of Hassan's elections boards. Buke reported the incident to Raila Odinga at Upper Hill.

He also recalled how during the Okoa Kenya Signature campaign, a 'big boy' from Jubilee drove in, called him, and removed two bundles of cash asking for a few signature books. Buke stated that he called Rosemary Kariuki to witness the corruption, and the individual was sent off.

Wafula Buke's allegations of corruption within ODM have sparked controversy, with the party yet to respond to the claims. The former Director of Political Affairs has threatened to table evidence, including videos, once he has exhausted his appeal to the Central Committee for reinstatement.
