Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has alleged that Deputy President William Ruto's campaign team is using manipulated images to distort public perception of political rallies. The accusation came during a television interview on Citizen TV, where Kibicho criticized the portrayal of events in Kirinyaga County.

Kibicho provided specific examples, including a rally in his hometown of Kagio. He stated that photographs shared by Ruto's team depicted a crowd spanning two kilometers along a narrow road that could not accommodate such a gathering. 'There are individuals who create noise and engage in extensive photo editing,' he said. 'I saw an image of Kagio showing a road too narrow for three vehicles to pass side-by-side, yet the campaign's visuals suggested a 2km-wide crowd.'

The PS emphasized that these manipulations create a 'perception far from facts' and contrasted Ruto's approach with that of ODM leader Raila Odinga. Kibicho claimed Odinga's support is 'authentic' and backed by data from the National Intelligence Service. 'We rely on ground realities, not noise,' he stated.

Kibicho predicted Odinga would secure 60% of votes in the August elections, dismissing allegations of electoral fraud. 'There is no rigging,' he asserted. 'President Uhuru Kenyatta's government upholds the rule of law and democracy, and this remains unchanged.'
