The 2022 Finalissima will feature a high-stakes encounter between Italy and Argentina, with the teams boasting strong recent form. Argentina enters the match as Copa America champions, having secured their place through a dominant campaign that included a 3-1 group stage performance and victories over Ecuador and Colombia.
Italy qualified by winning Euro 2020 in 2021, defeating England in the final. The Azzurri's squad includes Leonardo Spinazzola after his recovery from injury, while Andrea Pinamonto and Davide Frattesi make their first international call-ups.
Argentina's lineup features Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, and Paulo Dybala. The South American side has remained unbeaten in 31 matches across all competitions, with a 2-0 friendly win over Italy in 2018 marking their latest head-to-head victory.
The match will be broadcast live on GOTV, DSTV, and beIN Sports. Historical data shows Italy holds a 6-5 edge in head-to-head results, with five draws recorded between the teams.
