The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has selected Mohamed Mdigo Mwamkale as its candidate for the Rabai parliamentary seat, following the death of sitting MP William Kamoti in a 2022 road accident.
Kilifi County ODM Chairperson Teddy Mwambire confirmed the choice to Kenyans.co.ke on May 31, stating Mwamkale—Kamoti's younger brother—had been submitted to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for approval. "We are confident of winning," Mwambire said, noting the party awaited IEBC clearance before finalizing the nomination.
