Global critical infrastructure provider Vertiv has formed a distribution alliance with Tech First Gulf (TFG), a leading IT infrastructure and security distributor, to strengthen its footprint across East Africa. The collaboration integrates Vertiv's power and data center solutions into TFG's existing portfolio, focusing on modular infrastructure and edge computing applications.
Hemant Mali, TFG's managing director, stated the partnership would enhance their infrastructure portfolio and open the Vertiv Partner Programme to resellers. This initiative includes training, incentives, and support to meet customer demands, according to the statement. TFG will also provide logistics, credit options, and localized payment solutions, acting as an extension of Vertiv for installation, service, and maintenance.
The agreement includes Vertiv's Liebert GXT5 UPS systems, offering compact power protection for data centers, and SmartCabinet solutions that streamline infrastructure deployment. Pierre Havenga, Vertiv's regional managing director, emphasized the partnership's role in delivering Industry 4.0-ready data center technologies to support digital transformation in Eastern Africa.
Vertiv, which established a $1 million hub in Morocco in 2021, operates in over 130 countries with 24,000 employees. The company specializes in power, cooling, and IT infrastructure solutions for data centers, communication networks, and industrial facilities.
