On September 5, 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded in Oklahoma, USA, involving a Kenyan man and his ex-girlfriend. Erick Wanjiku, a Kenyan national, is now facing serious charges, including domestic assault, battery, rape, and kidnapping.
According to the ex-girlfriend, who wishes to remain anonymous, the trouble began when she refused to engage in a sexual act with Wanjiku in his apartment. She had initially accepted his invitation, but things took a dark turn when she tried to leave.
The ex-girlfriend alleges that Wanjiku strangled and raped her, and when she attempted to escape again, he dragged her back upstairs, inflicting physical harm, particularly to her face.
As reported by Sgt. Jillian Phippen of the Tulsa Police Special Victims Unit, the incident was particularly disturbing, prompting an immediate arrest. 'When you read a case that sends a chill down your spine, and you know you are not going to leave until you make an arrest, this was the case,' she said.
Wanjiku's arrest report reveals a disturbing admission: he claims not to remember forcing the ex-girlfriend to perform a sex act, and if he did, he is sorry about it.
Although Wanjiku was initially released from custody, a judge has since ordered him to wear a GPS monitor and not leave the state of Oklahoma without permission.
