The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has denied reports claiming its application portal is open for 2022/2023 university, college, and TVET admissions. A representative emphasized that all official updates will be shared through verified channels.

The false notice circulated online falsely stated students could access the portal using their KCSE index numbers and birth certificate details as passwords. It also claimed candidates with a minimum C+ grade could apply for degree programs at public and private institutions nationwide.

"The KUCCPS portal remains closed for 2022/2023 applications," the representative clarified. "Students should avoid unverified information and check official communication channels for accurate updates." The entity, responsible for government-sponsored student placements, also manages career guidance and program information dissemination.

The fake notice referenced specific eligibility thresholds, including a 2000-2021 KCSE examination window for degree applications. KUCCPS reiterated that no official portal activation has occurred, urging candidates to disregard unauthorized messages.
