Kenyan business leaders and entrepreneurs are set to converge at the inaugural SOAR Africa Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit, featuring American televangelist Thomas Dexter Jakes Sr., on September 5 and 6, 2019.
The summit, which includes an exclusive fireside chat with Bishop TD Jakes, has sold out all its VVIP tickets, priced at Sh75,000.
Speaking at a press briefing at Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel Nairobi, TD Jakes expressed his delight at being part of the summit, the first of its kind in the region.
“As a CEO of TD Jakes Enterprise, I understand the importance of business, how to do it and how to survive best so as to enhance our lifestyles beyond spirituality,” he said.
Coordinators of the event say that the summit aims to create a progressive and thought-provoking platform where leaders from private and public sectors, as well as entrepreneurs, will have conversations that inspire economic progress for the continent.
“This summit is the beginning of a new movement that will change and bring on board new kind of leaders,” said KCB Group CEO and MD Joshua Oigara.
Mr Oigara noted that solutions to most of the world's problems will come from a younger mind, and that the summit aims to provide mentorships, skills, and resources to younger entrepreneurs.
