Published on September 5, 2019, a disturbing video has surfaced online of a four-year-old boy revealing to his mother that the house-help sexually abused him.
The boy disclosed that when his mother was away at work, the middle-aged nanny told him to perform oral sex on her.
When the mother returned home from work, the boy followed her to her bedroom and revealed the disturbing ordeal in Swahili.
"Aunty aliniambia nilambe kitu yake, halafu nikalamba hivi," the boy said, meaning "The nanny told me to perform oral sex on her, and I heeded."
The house-help was confronted with the allegations, which she initially denied, but later owned up to sexually abusing the minor.
"You hired me to work for you. I, however, acknowledge that I did something unlawful. I asked the boy to take off his clothes as I also removed mine. However, we did not engage in anything sexual in nature," she said, adding: "Yes, I had asked him to perform oral sex on me, but he refused."
Under Kenya's Children Act, the house-help could face a 1-year jail term or a fine of not more than Ksh50, 000 for sexually exploiting the child.
Kenyan netizens are urging the boy's mother to file a formal complaint with authorities so that the nanny can be arrested and charged for the crime.
