Dennis Ruto Kapchok, a young politician from Pokot West, has denied allegations that he was bribed to reconcile with Governor John Lonyangapuo.
Kapchok, popularly known as 'kijana fupi round,' had a meeting with the governor on Sunday, September 1, at the governor's office, where the two reconciled.
In a statement, Kapchok said that the reconciliation was facilitated by the elderly men of the village, who blessed the move.
However, the governor later took to Facebook to claim that Kapchok had been bribed to reconcile with him.
Yaonekana macho yako sasa yameanza kuona yale yalikuwa hayaoni mbeleni," the governor wrote.
Kapchok has since denied the allegations, saying that he was not bribed to reconcile with the governor.
Niliwaambia siitaji chochote kutoka kwa gavana, kazi ama pesa," Kapchok said.
The reconciliation between Kapchok and Lonyangapuo comes after the two had a public disagreement, with the governor accusing Kapchok of being defeated in the elections.
