Today marks the first anniversary of the gruesome murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno, whose body was found in a shocking state.
Friends and relatives of the slain student gathered at Magare village in Homa Bay county to pay their respects and honour her memory.
According to reports, the man who discovered Sharon's body, Mr Moses Ongili, was left shell-shocked and in need of counselling after stumbling upon the horrific scene.
Sharon's mother has also faced Okoth Obado, a man who has been linked to her murder, in a separate incident.
