Kibra By-Election: Morris Kinyanjui Challenges Selection of McDonald Mariga as Jubilee Candidate

September 3, 2019

Morris Kinyanjui, a Kibra by-election aspirant, has protested the selection of McDonald Mariga as the Jubilee Party candidate, citing a breach of the party's constitution.

According to a letter written by Kinyanjui to Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, the selection of Mariga was done without following the party's constitution.

Kinyanjui also claimed that the selection of Mariga was done in secret, and that the party's leadership had not followed the proper procedures.

The selection of Mariga as the Jubilee Party candidate has sparked controversy in Kibra, with some residents expressing concerns that he may not be the best candidate to represent the area.
