Kenyan gospel singer Kambua Mathu has finally become a mother after seven years of marriage to her husband, Jackson Mathu.
According to a close associate, the baby boy was born on August 10th and is now a month old. Both mother and child are reportedly doing well.
News of Kambua's pregnancy had generated excitement on social media in May, with many celebrities congratulating her. However, the couple has decided to keep the news private.
For years, Kambua had faced unwarranted criticism for not having children, with some people mistakenly believing her husband to be a pastor.
"I'm told the baby came on 10th (August). Mother and child are both doing well so far, almost a month now," a source revealed to Nairobi News on September 3, 2019.
