September 3, 2019, marked a day of controversy at Anfield as Liverpool's Sadio Mane expressed his frustration on the sidelines after being substituted in the 3-0 win over Burnley.
The Senegalese striker's outburst seemed to be triggered by Mohamed Salah's decision not to pass the ball to him when he was in a good position earlier in the game.
Salah, 27, has scored 74 goals for Liverpool since joining from Roma in 2017, but has sometimes faced criticism for being too selfish in certain situations.
However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists that he won't tell Salah to change his playing style, saying, "I could describe five or six situations where everyone thought, 'pass it, pass it, pass it' and then he scored," he said (via the Liverpool Echo ).
"So, that is the freedom of the player. The boys have to make these decisions: pass the ball, don’t pass the ball," Klopp added.
