On a day filled with joy and celebration, N'Golo Kante, the French international footballer, made a surprise appearance at the wedding of a Chelsea fan's daughter.
Frank Khalid, a businessman and Chelsea supporter, shared photos of Kante mingling with guests and taking pictures at the wedding.
According to Khalid, he first met Kante at his restaurant, Chak89, where the footballer had visited after being introduced by a friend.
When Kante couldn't attend the event due to his commitment to the French national team, he messaged Khalid saying he was coming, and he indeed made it to the wedding.
Not only did Kante attend the wedding, but he also visited Khalid after undergoing a heart surgery in April 2018, staying till the end and signing autographs and taking selfies with the guests.
As Khalid described, 'My family and myself are very close to N'Golo, and he was one of the first people to visit me when I had my triple bypass surgery operation in April 2018.'
On the day of the wedding, Kante surprised the guests by appearing at the mosque after missing his Eurostar train, and he also made an unexpected trip to visit fans at a Chelsea Foundation event in January.
As Khalid wrote on Twitter, 'He must have been asked for a million selfies, and he happily obliged every person that was at the wedding. He was happy to be there.'
