Published on September 3, 2019, Victor Wanyama's Tottenham future was under scrutiny after falling down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino.
Despite being left out of the starting lineup, Wanyama made the matchday squad for Tottenham's season opener against Aston Villa but did not play.
His uncertain future at Tottenham sparked interest from several European clubs, including Bologna, Club Brugge, and AS Monaco.
However, a proposed move to Club Brugge, which had agreed a fee of around £12m, appeared to have collapsed due to unresolved financial issues between the two clubs.
With the European transfer window now closed on September 2, Wanyama will likely stay with Tottenham to fight for his place.
