A £200,000 windfall for a lucky punter who cashed out at the perfect moment in a 10-fold accumulator, avoiding a potential loss of £1 million.

On the final day of the Premier League season, the punter had accurately predicted both Liverpool and Manchester City would win their games, but a change of heart in the Real Madrid vs. Villarreal match saved the day.

With the scores locked at 1-1, the punter decided to call it a day, pocketing an incredible £199,737.57 after cashing out. Had they let the bet run, they would not have won a single penny, as they had backed Madrid to win the clash.

As the punter counted their winnings, Moi Gomez restored Villarreal's lead in the 74th minute, before Gareth Bale equalised for Madrid minutes later.

According to Ladbrokes, the online customer's accumulator garnered 200,000/1 odds, requiring 10 results to go their way to win.

Having correctly predicted the vast majority of matches, attention shifted to the La Liga, where nervy fixtures were taking place. Atletico and Real Madrid were among the teams the punter had placed a bet on, with the former coming from two goals down to seal a last-gasp 3-2 win over Eibar.
