Francis Atwoli: William Ruto's Presidential Ambitions Will Fail ¶
Francis Atwoli, the Secretary-General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU), has stated that William Ruto's presidential ambitions will fail due to his refusal to reduce the heat of the 2022 presidential election.
Speaking on September 1, 2019, Atwoli said that Ruto's refusal to reduce the heat of the 2022 presidential election would make his ambitions a mere dream.
According to Atwoli, the Tanga Tanga group will face a tough time in the upcoming general election, and if they succeed, they will face opposition.
Atwoli stated, "2022, we will have a leader. You will choose leaders, but the government will not have people like William Ruto, Boni Khalwale, and the entire Tanga Tanga group. They will only get opposition."
Atwoli also stated that the Tanga Tanga group's refusal to accept the 'handshake' and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) would only lead to opposition if they succeed.
Atwoli's statement comes after Ruto's refusal to reduce the heat of the 2022 presidential election, which has been a major issue in the country.
On August 24, 2019, Ruto responded to Kabogo's allegations, saying, "I am not one of those who are involved in politics. I am not one of those who are involved in politics. It is other leaders."
Atwoli's statement also comes after Ruto's refusal to accept the BBI, which has been a major issue in the country.
On September 1, 2019, Ruto stated, "We want a government that includes everyone or we want to exclude more. We must be careful about what we do."
