Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has left the club to join Italian side Parma, the Red Devils announced on September 2, 2019.

During his four-year stay at Old Trafford, Darmian scored only one goal for Manchester United, which came in a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in 2016.

Manchester United expressed gratitude to Darmian for his service and wished him success at his new club.

United's eighth-place position in the Premier League table is not expected to be significantly impacted by Darmian's departure, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka's impressive performance since joining from Crystal Palace.
