On Sunday, actor and comedian Kevin Hart was involved in a serious car crash in Calabasas, California, just outside his home.
According to a California Highway Patrol incident report, dated September 1, 2019, Hart was a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda driven by Jared Black, who lost control of the vehicle and rolled down an embankment.
Hart and Black sustained 'major back injuries' and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, the report states.
After the crash, Hart was able to exit the vehicle and rushed home to get help, while the third occupant did not suffer any major injuries.
Patrol officers determined that Black was not driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
It's worth noting that Hart had recently purchased the classic Barracuda in July 2019 as a 40th birthday gift to himself, writing on social media, 'I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th….welcome home 'Menace'.'
